Marianne Crowley - Vernon 1998
One side is bars at Woodlands School. I never had any real good things in Woodlands. Nobody that I could tease or chum around with. If we got chummy the staff asked what we're up to, just cause we're holding arms around each other, walking or something. If we say something just joking, we get punished for it. I felt lonesome and felt that I was not wanted. The other side is my life now. I know I'm loved. I have friends all around. If I feel blue I can always call my friends, even if it's long distance. If it;s your money, you got to pay for the bill. I wouldn't trade that side for this one now.
